Yes, American pediatricians are different: they're ignorant of basic male anatomy and therefore often cause harm by forcibly retracting the foreskins of toddlers. In the exit interview at the hospital after my son's birth, they incorrectly told me to retract and clean. Not good.

The ignorance that some US #pediatricians have about #foreskin due to their obsession with forcibly amputating it is shocking. My young nephew would've been forcibly retracted had my SIL not grabbed the MD's hand to stop her. @AmerAcadPeds must do MUCH better on this. #AAP18 #i2
