Since you're so sure of that, let's see if you can read this & then tell us - with specific references to actual facts - how the bioethicist who wrote it gets it wrong:https://quillette.com/2017/08/15/female-genital-mutilation-health-benefits-problem-medicalizing-morality/ …

Your source provides a distinctly libertarian perspective, which is interesting. However, to suggest that, because some FGM is only partially invasive, it should be allowed, rather misses the point. The article merely highlights the dangers of sophistry.

"All children—female, male, and intersex... should get to decide whether they want their 'private parts' nicked, pricked, labiaplastied, 'normalized,' circumcised, or sewn, at an age when they can appreciate what is really at stake." So you decided to ignore the conclusion?

At the risk of being disappointed again by your lack of reading comprehension & inability to defend your position w/specifics, please cite the part of this article by
@briandavidearp that "suggest[s] that, because some FGM is only partially invasive, it should be allowed."#i21 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

I take it from your last response to me that you have nothing to say in response to this. Which is hardly surprising, b/c anyone who's actually read the article understands it does NOT suggest ANY FGM should be allowed.

I stated an opinion, which you're entitled to respond to. However, I really couldn't care less about your comprehension test.

To be precise, you stated an opinion about the article that is explicitly contradicted by the article & is completely unsupportable. But given your attitude, I really couldn't care less if you appreciate that or not.
