Time to conflate the battle against circumcision and FGM as ‘Childhood Genital Mutilation’ (CGM).

Since you're so sure of that, let's see if you can read this & then tell us - with specific references to actual facts - how the bioethicist who wrote it gets it wrong:https://quillette.com/2017/08/15/female-genital-mutilation-health-benefits-problem-medicalizing-morality/ …

Your source provides a distinctly libertarian perspective, which is interesting. However, to suggest that, because some FGM is only partially invasive, it should be allowed, rather misses the point. The article merely highlights the dangers of sophistry.

"All children—female, male, and intersex... should get to decide whether they want their 'private parts' nicked, pricked, labiaplastied, 'normalized,' circumcised, or sewn, at an age when they can appreciate what is really at stake." So you decided to ignore the conclusion?

If you really understood this issue, you'd understand that the conclusion set forth by
@briandavidearp is far from "taken as a given," and that a statement like your "original comment" is far from helpful, accurate, or even what you now represent it to have been.#i21 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
Replying to @cooney21 @Stephenmevans1 and
I'm under no compulsion to read your libertarian syllabus. By all means attach items, however, you should make your point within your comment. By conflating the genital mutilation of both genders, we have a better chance of prohibiting such dogmatic abuse.

Obviously you're not under a "compulsion" to read it (BTW, it's not mine, it's Brian Earp's), and sadly it seems you either haven't or don't understand it. If you do comment on it, please do so accurately instead of disingenuously as you have done. #i2 #HisBodyHisChoice
