So many men wishing I had highlighted the harm of circumcision equally when I decried #FGM
Men need to lead the way in defending their foreskins & beyond, so I’m glad they are showing willing.
To this end, guard your balls, boys.
Don’t leave it to someone else.

FGM isn't comparable to male circumcision. FGM is brutal and malicious mutilation of the vulva and often removal of the clitoris, an attack on feminine sexuality and fullness of intimacy. MC is just removal of a random bit of excess skin that I find repulsive anyway.

Nothing says "objective analysis" quite like "Cut it of that boy's body b/c I find it repulsive."
#sarcasm It's not just skin & it isn't excess or random. What's FGM can also be less extensive than both what you describe & MC. Read this & educate yourselfhttps://quillette.com/2017/08/15/female-genital-mutilation-health-benefits-problem-medicalizing-morality/ …1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
I don't give a flying skittle about Male Circumcision, as I've said. But it's disingenuous, even slightly malicious, to compare it to Female Genital Mutilation. The equivalent would be cutting off a man's shaft down to an inch stub.

Replying to @Blunderbuckets @cooney21 and
Ban it all you want. My entire point is only that it's mildly irritating that people try to force MC into any discussion on FGM.

As Professor Earp has written, non therapeutic cutting of child genitals w/out medical need is wrong regardless of gender. The comparison isn't "forced." If you disagree, then you should be able to read the article and then tell us - w/specificity - how he got it wrong. #i2
