I support conversation and debate. What I tell my parents is that there are benefits and risks with either decision and medically I am fine with either choice.

Not on the list, sorry. Bleeding, infection, pain, risk for std’s later, looking like dad and brothers... I don’t think anything I say has ever actually influenced anyone’s decision, though.

Do you have any data on that? What percent of circumcised men wish they hadn’t been, and what percent on uncircumcised men wish they had been? I’ve never seen any.

I don't know that anyone has studied it formally.
@intactive has compiled some information here http://www.circumstitions.com/Resent.html Here's a book of 50 case studies https://www.amazon.com/Unspeakable-Mutilations-Circumcised-Men-Speak-ebook/dp/B00L5FPF2C …#i22 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

If you want docs to advise things you have to offer proof - we’re all a bunch of geeks. It would be an interesting study.

This study found that 64% of men circumcised as neonates had a negative view of it. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28894958 But given that it's irreversible - & there are valid, meritorious reasons why any man would object to it - why isn't the testimony of even 1 man who resents it enough?

This study treats "attitude towards one's status" as a single datum, when the two statuses are diametrically opposed. Thus if 49% are intact and ALL are happy about it, and of the 51% cut only 3% are happy about it, you can still say "a majority are happy about their status"!

It does require careful reading. Shows only 5.5% of intact men view their status negatively. Of course, they can always check themselves out of that group and into the other. Circumcised men don't have that option, & must live w/the negative self-perception, no matter how strong.
