I'm the one who says they have human rights, remember. You think all human beings have a religion? What does that make me? (And what kind of heartless wretch wants to cut part of a week-old baby's genitals off?)

"Insinuating that a baby doesn’t have a religion denies their basic humanity and human existence." Nonsense. Are you saying children of atheist parents aren't human? Does that include all the children of Jewish atheists? Crazy talk.

Replying to @intactive @Mindofown and
You are confusing the Jewish religion with Jewish culture. They are not the same, or there could be no Jewish atheists. You were born into the culture, and then you were raised in the religion. Did you never figure that out?

Who says it's sudden? If a child were (perish the thought) taken from its parents and raised by goys, it would be be less and less likely to embrace Judaism the earlier it happened. If as a baby, not at all.

It's you who made it all about you. I just said that babies (obviously) don't have religions, meaning religious beliefs, whatever their parents may believe. Libertarians (should) believe they have the liberty to grow up to choose their own religion, not have one cut into them.

You're overgeneralizing and not taking into account that different people within Judaism have different beliefs, traditions & cultural views, including about whether circumcising a child is ever appropriate. http://www.beyondthebris.com/2011/06/to-mohel-who-cut-me.html …
