Hi, I need some advice. As we all know, the nose is a nasty part of our bodies. It accumulates snot, traps bacteria in it's pores, & causes irritation during illness. I want to amputate my son's nose out of good intention & cultural belief. I know he'll thank me later. Thoughts?

Where's the self-appointed
#AAP Task Force on nose amputation? We need them to forcibly retract & clean inside children's nostrils, & see if they suffer more colds than children w/amputated noses. If so, AAP will declare the benefits of nose amputation outweigh the risks.#i21 reply 2 retweets 5 likes -

How can 1 "benefit" of nose amputation outweigh the risks when the risks are unknown? See, there are no studies of the risks of nose amputation, and so that must mean nose amputation has no risks. If you don't quite follow that "logic", well, the AAP doesn't care...

Exactly, this is the reason why there aren't many more such studies. It's the reason why the study performed by @DrTinari finding circumcision causes irreversible neurological damage to newborns has never been repeated. The AAP's circumcision position is entirely political. #i2
