I think there are a lot of men who do not want to feel victimised by their circumcision. Most men don't feel comfortable with that label. Add to that the discomfort of discussing ones genitals, and you end up with those men 'manning up' about the subject in general. So to speak.

There's nothing wrong w/being circumcised & NOT considering yourself a victim. There's something seriously, wrong, however, with imposing circumcision on a child as a way to validate your non-victim status. Sadly, that is what is at the core of all nontherapeutuc circumcision.

To be clear, I'm not saying all men circumcised at birth should feel like victims, per se. However, there are a lot of people who will accuse men of 'playing the victim' if they so much as say, 'I should have had a choice.' And so they don't even say that much.

Agreed. No argument can be made to support the nontherapeutic cutting of infants' genitals when those adults who had it done to them as children say "I should have had a choice, because I would have chosen differently." That's why pro-cutters pretend such individuals don't exist.
