I’ve met so many men that hate that they weren’t given a decision about their own genitals. It should be a grown mans decision. Not their parents.

if it were to be a grown mans decision and he wants to be circumcised, then getting the procedure as an adult actually will result in less sensitivity and be more painful than if you were to do it as a baby. And most men prefer to be circumcised sooo

But you don’t know that that’s what they prefer until they’re an adult? Those who are circumcised as babies will never know how it feels to be uncut so technically you can’t even say that’s what the prefer bc most men won’t ever know

As the Yale bioethicist who wrote this analysis has noted, the AAP admits "'the true incidence of complications after newborn circumcision is unknown.' So how could we know they are outweighed by the benefits?" And AAP ignored risk of death. http://blog.practicalethics.ox.ac.uk/2017/08/does-female-genital-mutilation-have-health-benefits-the-problem-with-medicalizing-morality/ …pic.twitter.com/UKkpZG8NrE
