A baby can scream, choke, vomit & pass out from the pain of his - but we're to think it's worth it b/c of pain from possible future infection? This isn't what most MDs think, and Jewish opinion is rightly turning against child circumcision.

Happy Birthday to "The apathy of the people is enough to make every statue leap from its pedestal, and to hasten the resurrection of the dead." It seems like we need him more today than ever.

And why hasn't the media focused any attention on the complete lack of ANY record as to whether Dr Perwaiz was either exonerated or disciplined in respect of those allegedly unnecessary hysterectomies in the 1980s? Virginia only "censored" him (they meant "censured") for poor...

173(!) How many of those unnecessary procedures could have been prevented if the Va. state medical board had properly investigated & resolved allegations against Dr Perwaiz of 10 unnecessary hysterectomies in the 1980s?

In American hospitals, the nurses strap the babies onto this circumcision restraint board which elevates their penis for easy access. The doctor might have other duties and may arrive late while the baby screams, chokes and struggles against the Velcro straps.

The circumcision ritual in American hospitals is a disgrace to the medical profession of the United States. A growing number of doctors and nurses will NOT participate in this barbaric ritual, and its prevalence is declining from coast to coast.

Disclaimer: screams may not be soul-shattering for medical professionals who no longer have a soul. Consult the medical school dean/attending physician to whom you sold your soul in order to determine if infant's screams are soul-shattering

realizes that US MDs' main focus is protecting themselves, and not their patients - whom they view as little more than profit centers - US MDs won't take informed seriously. It is up to all of us to demand that our MDs - and their state regulators - start doing so.

The most common surgery in the US is nontherapeutic infant - the only "elective" surgery that the patient never "elects." It's little wonder, then, that the US medical profession treats the informed of patients as if it doesn't matter. And until the public

Given the supposed concern about Dr Perwaiz' "lack of documentation" and the need for "accurate records," the complete lack of ANY record as to whether Dr Perwaiz was either exonerated or disciplined in respect of the allegedly unnecessary 1982 hysterectomies is alarming.

Dr Perwaiz was also "censored for lack of judgment in regards to a sexual relationship with a patient and that you use more discretion in the future." And of course, by "use more discretion" they didn't mean "don't sleep with your patients" but "don't get caught doing it."

When the state medical board doesn't understand the difference between "censored" and "censured," they are probably better off just writing "The physician's wrist was duly slapped."
