the ETH 2.0 'beacon chain' launced 1 week ago. It might take years before it's implemented in the entire network. I don't want to use ETH until mining is obsolete

ETH 1.0 works using mining, cumulative mining uses more energy than a country. ETH 2.0 uses validation which uses a tiny percent of that energy. We need to fuck that off and never look back.
