    one thing i love about the engine is that this is entirely hand modelled & painted; no textures at all. it also looks unlike most other SDF stuff - this is effectively all a directly sphere traced distance field. on a relatively slow ps4 gpu!

    To count an animal population if you can't catch them all: capture some, mark them, release, and capture again. The ratio of new vs already seen tells you something about the total number. Shown here is iterated mark-and-recapture with a Bayesian updates to belief about pop size

    made polyline joins today~✨ I've designed these to be pretty cheap, so the miter positions, tangent and normal calculations are all done in the vertex shader, rather than on the CPU! I think my vector graphics library is starting to become something real neat now💖

    As a programmer, I’m still cashing in returns of learning 3dmax, lightwave, and maya from gnomon videos as a 12 year old. In hindsight, super lucky I had access to all those (read: warez sites 😅)
