    I feel sick to the stomach to know the paper made trans people feel this way and that it contributed to the general oppression they feel on a daily basis. It is good to see articles like this one holding the paper to account. I hope there will be more

    Recall a canteen worker in an old workplace spluttering, & insisting he was fine to work. Probably cos he’d be penalised for going home. If you get sick leave on full pay, cherish it. If you don’t, or anyone in your workplace doesn’t, fight for it. Yours, Conrad, sick in bed.

    This article is utterly depressing. Our employment rights in this country are so weak. If you want your health - and public health - to be at the mercy of your boss, do nothing. Otherwise join your union and organise your workplace.

    I wish all the best for the future. I understand the pressures of serving a large area, albeit without the added pressure of being a mum. We need to better support people, especially women, to do both.
