Deleted one tweet in this thread—an article titled “Don’t Let Jordan Peterson debate at the University of Toronto”—because I misidentified the author, who shares a name with a more famous academic and writer

Conor, Thank you so much for doing such great journalism: nuanced, clear, and thoughtful. You and the Atlantic are inspiring in such times of biased "reporting"

Conor,
@JesseBrown did an excellent episode of his show on this. Short summary: Peterson isn't arguing, he is trolling for $$. Really good stuff gets going at 15:00. http://www.canadalandshow.com/podcast/canadaland-guide-jordan-b-peterson/ … -
I will listen, but from the podcasts I’ve heard most of his oeuvre is consistent with everything he said long before he was famous. Still, thanks for the link and I’ll give it a hearing!

Brought about by the internet generally and social media specifically as platforms devoid of gatekeepers. So now there is an attempt to democratize the gatekeeper role. In this sense, Trump's "fake news" allegations are analogous in some sense to the no-platforming of JP. 2/2
