My episode 1 verdict: Pedro and Bella are perfect for Joel and Ellie. Feels like the characters were made for them. And the opening sequence was just as harrowing as I found it 10 years ago. So hard to watch, but harder to look away.

The House agreed, 365-65, to establish a House Select Committee on Strategic Competition Between the U.S. and China. The panel will investigate and make policy recs on “the status of the CCP's economic, technological, and security progress and its competition with the U.S.”

New from me and on why should restart domestic revalidation—and how to do it! When students asked to restart this in 2018, their response was that it was “not feasible to do [biometric collection] stateside.” 🫠
