iWork ’13 effectively removes AppleScript support from the suite of apps: http://mjtsai.com/blog/2013/10/23/iwork-13-a-huge-regression/ … (via @mjtsai)
@danielpunkass @mjtsai If you don't mind me asking, I'm curious what you used the AppleScript support for?

@concreteniche@mjtsai In Pages I use it to automate some document generation based on templates (e.g. Invoices). -
@danielpunkass@mjtsai Where does the source information come from for the invoice, what format? I've had app ideas for years... - View other replies

@concreteniche@mjtsai … they are not based in time or anything (typically podcast sponsorships), so they are very simple. -
@danielpunkass I mean an app that has same separation like HTML and CSS, write the information in one place, set up the design in another. -
@danielpunkass Have lots of ideas for this app outside what I've said but am one man team. Even thought of making open source collaborative. -
@concreteniche It sounds like it’s within the scope of something you could at least start as a one-man team. -
@danielpunkass haha there are a lot of facets to this idea, I have notes starting from 2008. -
@concreteniche The challenging question I have for you is: for how many more years will it be "just an idea"? - View other replies

@concreteniche@mjtsai In Keynote it was *almost* good enough to e.g. automatically change style of presenter notes. Lots of promise. -
@concreteniche I never actually scripted iWork since Pages and Numbers didn’t meet my needs in the first place.
