$DAI overtook Sai (legacy Dai) on Compound, and the migration has steadily continued; today, there are less than 1M Sai in the protocol. The liquidation incentive has been set to 8%, and can be increased to 15% if market conditions warrant it. To provide additional security, an additional price feed change has been queued in the protocol timelock, which removes the MakerDAO ETH/USD price module if necessary.

Due to extreme price movements in the market today ($DAI is currently trading > $1.05), borrowing demand for DAI is currently at record levels. Further, the Ethereum network is clogged. Compound is operating normally, but it may take longer than normal to withdraw DAI.

A protocol upgrade that allows the Pause Guardian to disable supplying & borrowing (new usage) in individual markets (instead of all markets simultaneously) has been queued in the Timelock. This will be the final upgrade prior to Community Governance.
