Reading about the effort to recall @chesaboudin because, despite falling crime rates, people *feel* less safe in San Francisco.
It makes me wonder how much of that fear is attributable to how media cover crime.
Would love to do a systematic study on this.https://www.sfexaminer.com/news/chesa-boudin-responds-to-critics-in-first-state-of-justice-address/ …

Thank you Carissa. As you know better than anyone, based on your experience living in North Carolina, crime is way down in San Francisco. Those numbers are definitely NOT being doctored by my office.

If you are going to run a parody account making fun of a prosecutor, you might want to better educate yourself about what prosecutors actually do. For example, prosecutors aren't responsible for collecting and reporting crime data.

And if you want to opine on San Francisco, you might want to come visit. You might learn that many many man crimes go unreported because everyone in the city knows they will lead to no consequence.

It's a little hard to visit now. I've been in the past and I plan to visit again in the future. But no matter where we are, it's probably a good idea to not make affirmatively false statements about what prosecutors do.

Please come visit. Go for a walk through the Tenderloin at night. Preferably around Golden Gate and Hyde. You have nothing to worry about... crime is down and everyone’s concerns about safety are just a mirage. Let me know how it goes.
