like half the things you list are not directly impacted by setting more charges you feel me? the NYE DUI is a tragic worst case but otherwise

Every single one of those crimes was committed by someone who had previously and recently committed another serious felony and was released without any form of punishment whatsoever. That is the policy in San Francisco right now: as long as you don’t kill someone, you may go.

Yup, I really can’t imagine what everyone in San Francisco is complaining about...https://twitter.com/sfpdpark/status/1350901699314032641?s=21 …

SFPD Park StationVerified account @SFPDParkYesterday around 10am, a victim was bicycling through the Panhandle area when a suspect approached and demanded to hand over the victim's bicycle. When the victim refused to comply, the suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim in the arm. pic.twitter.com/rzgHd15NGxShow this thread1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

It’s easy to ‘be suspicious’ from 2500mi away, isn’t it... clearly it’s a conspiracy being pushed by [checks notes] almost everyone in San Francisco.

the burden of proof gets a bit higher you know? 2020 has just been a fucked up year. take toronto: by any metric we’re way safer than san francisco but burglaries were way up this year: lots of empty storefronts and houses!

you're 100% right and I have had this same conversation before where he refuses to produce any evidence of rhis claims and just lists a bunch of random crimes and claims that Chesa is personally responsible for them.

I live in san francisco and I echo your view of this, it's a bunch of rich people I think who are not used to seeing crime and they kind of have this ideal unrealistic version of the world where they think they can tweak everything personally and make it work.

^ not used to seeing crime. I thought the point was to have *less* crime. Thanks for acknowledging that Chesa’s policies are creating more.

Those are your words “a bunch of rich people who are not used to seeing crime”... Ergo, suggesting that the problem the “bunch of rich people” is having is “seeing crime”, a problem that apparently only manifested significantly and recently.
