Maybe the simplest narrative is right: people are weary of having their stuff stolen constantly and feeling unsafe in public while criminals are allowed to do as they please without fear of repercussion. You wanted to know what’s happening in SF. I’m there, and this is it.

i didn’t say corporate fascism, i say that when the richest people and the cops are both against a new district attorney trying to reform incarceration then it is rational to be curious about whether their interests are aligned with mine

besides it’s not clear to me that these examples are linked. now i’m more curious about chesa’s actual policies. i found the state of san francisco to be a moral injury back in 2018, i can’t imagine what 2020 has done to the city
