Or how 17 years before the US would claim that Russia had arrested an nginx developer for political reasons, that the US itself arrested and held Dmitry Sklyarov at the behest of Adobe, for helping build an application that could copy, search, and screen-read ebooks.

Or how Aaron Swartz was hounded for copying material that is largely publicly funded. Have we made any real systematic progress on any of these things?
