Or how 17 years before the US would claim that Russia had arrested an nginx developer for political reasons, that the US itself arrested and held Dmitry Sklyarov at the behest of Adobe, for helping build an application that could copy, search, and screen-read ebooks.

Here in Sweden we suddenly had these massive police raids, apparently organized on behalf of american media conglomerates. Like insane amounts of cops, just to take some servers belonging to Pirate Bay.

Also went after a bunch of kids who downloaded some music and movies to make an example and deter from downloading. Some were given very high fines, like what a house cost, for torrenting some media. Literally every young person was doing it, and there was no good alternatives.
