When you have the exact same process for fixing a typo and for rewriting the persistence logic, the former is bound to be unnecessary burdensome. It has to be. The only solution is to treat inconsequential changes differently from consequential ones.

Nowadays there are code review bots that can automatically approve and merge PRs. If you feel it's worth it, set up such a bot. Maybe make one that can detect comment-only changes and auto-approve them. Fixing typos will become super lightweight. Problem solved!
