So much of my future net worth is already tied up in the success of Amazon and the tech sector. Really it's the employers playing roulette though. RSUs can be very effective for cashflow, and a nice employee incentive for acting more broadly, but if they go down in value a lot people can get paid in cash or other stock somewhere else.
