2 hours. Are they checking bags? 3 if so and it’s an international flight.

+1 to a solid 2. “We can kill time at Floret with coconut cake” is how I sell non-pre-checkers with “2 for sanity”

We always suggest being in the terminal two hours before your flight to allow time for airline ticket counter, security checkpoint, and time to get settled before the flight. Happy travels! -Grant

I can generally get all the way through to the gate in 60 minutes, even when I don’t have pre check
-
With pre-check and Clear I’m usually through within five minutes, but I’m… practiced at this.

I flew out of SeaTac recently. 7am flight. I was there at 5:15. Through security in like 15 mins with no pre-check or clear.

I once arrived at SeaTac two hours early and missed my flight because hundreds of cruise ship passengers arrived right before I did

I do that quite often. No TSA Pre for me. 3 hours is too early unless you plan on a slow breakfast somewhere.

2 hrs should suffice. Also check which entrance you can use (for speed of course)
