Ok so where can I order a server with an AMD processor (e.g., Rome). Do I need to build it myself?

Thanks. I did not know AWS had bare metal. (But then AWS is so many things!) I use https://www.packet.com for bare metal and they do have AMD, although not Rome (evidently).
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

You don't need bare metal instances to get access to performance counters. It just needs to be relatively large. This is a screenshot from 'perf list' on r5a.4xlarge (Sadly Rome is not available yet).pic.twitter.com/b38TAJpeVX

Ok, so performance counters are sometimes available on AWS. Good. Now how can I tell when they are available? Do I have to go trial and error? They are *not* available on ARM nodes which is the last thing I tried. I can’t use AWS for ARM performance coding.
