Gives me hope that two startups worth following are @TheBADASS_army (@BadassBowden, @raeBress, @stayouttajailyo, @MarLeighBadass, @thefrug, @rhaelamp) and @tallpoppyio (@hypatiadotca, @lgdean, @pui_ling). Both working on protecting people from abuse, in different arenas. 1/n

I'm not an investor in either (though I would if I could!), but it'd be really really great to see more success on this front. 2/n

@TheBADASS_army are focusing on tackling nude photos ending up online without consent. It's nuts that people don't regularly get in legal trouble for that degrading BS. There's plenty of ways that technology and organization can help here.1 reply 3 retweets 14 likesShow this thread -
@tallpoppyio are focusing on the threats, hate and abuse people (mostly women) face just for their doing their jobs. The sky is the limit for the amount of room there is for innovation and improvement on that front.1 reply 1 retweet 9 likesShow this thread
At one end of the abuse spectrum; threats need a serious, coordinated, and professional response. At the other, abusers constantly test boundaries in incremental ways; shutting creeps down at the early stages has a huge potential.
