+1, that date is so silly it amazes me it's been said publicly. I think even 2025 is a stretch for wide deployment.

I drive my MX on AP a lot around Ireland, every day. In the space of 5 weeks (4 software updates) I’ve seen vast improvements. They’re honing that NN faster than I expected. Add at least a year to anything Elon says, but it’s coming.

On the other hand, think about one of your more complicated projects. What did it look like a 20 months before it shipped?

Also, the point about “just software” isn’t to say software is easy, just that you won’t have to upgrade the sensors, which would obviously have a lot more marginal cost than shipping updates over the air.
