@pwalchtaylor is proposing contacting @SeattleCouncil in advance to lobby for a more robust BMP Implementation Plan. Patrick is on fire.pic.twitter.com/AXacYX6Wge

Meredith Hall (left) wonders if the SBAB should lobby for a specific project. I, personally, believe this is just an invitation for SDOT to replace one project for another.pic.twitter.com/lwHzCa4YnT

Now we are talking about the stupid electric car charging station in the path of the Broadway PBL extension, which could kill it.pic.twitter.com/pCH4tyMcso

My mom just texted me from their open house where she apparently has learned that the BMP changed to not include the extension north because the streetcar extenson was killed. Trying to get details. But if that’s what we’re telling the public …

Well I presume that they are communicating unclearly such that she understood it this way. Which if you “heard” that the BMP changed you might be resigned to accepting a bad location fot the station.

Other fun reports from her: - only 9k EV cars registered in Seattle - location chosen partly because it would educate and supposedly increase EV usage - other bike projects got the money so we’re not doing this one so no conflict

I'm one of those 9K EV car owners. I used to live at Broadway and John but I held off buying an EV when I lived there just because there was no charging :/ There were just 3 short-duration spots above QFC at Broadway & Pike.

These new ones are 15 min ...

15 minutes for charging? That'll usually give me between 30 and 45 miles depending on the current. Enough to get out of trouble, but not enough to own an EV car if living nearby. I often charge my car from near empty and it takes about 6 hours overnight.

Yeah... The equivalent of a gas can of gas to help the empty tank get to gas station took fill up.
