Really weirds me out that that video has been desaturated and the contrast bumped ... which has the effect if making it sinister in look. Who's sitting around making this stuff?

you're not wrong, but close your eyes and listen? it's still as horrifying? between this, her stance about trans people incarcerated, and her stance on sex workers I don't know how I could support her? if you don't support people who are disenfranchised, who are you supporting?

Harris wouldn't be my pick amongst the current Democrats, but I'd support her over Trump any day. Very very easy call, to me it makes no sense to demonize candidates at the risk of depressing turnout later. That's how interference works.

For your direct question: I'm not horrified by the video, her idea was insensitive of many people's plight, but she's actually misquoted and didn't say "use the stick". She referred to having a stick, but her language wasn't quite as insensitive as implied.

I grew up in a very poor neighborhood, with a lot of crime, and truancy, and they definitely were related, and I've heard the idea she expressed dozens of times from working class residents of those same areas. At times it even works, as she pointed out, even if it is insensitive

Anyway, in the video: she refers to sending some letters, not actually prosecuting anyone, which is quite different too. Like I said, I'm not a Harris supporter, but that video and tweet is garbage.
