Yes! though configuration usually implies some kind of format. .ini files have the same problem too, for another example.

I was careful to use a double-check (load YAML, save as YAML, convert loaded YAML to JSON, save as JSON, convert JSON to YAML, compare with saved YAML) to validate the conversation.
