the DPRK has consistently spoken of being willing to have a Nuclear-free Korean peninsula. To the DPRK, this would include something like a full US withdrawal and an exclusion zone, with international/UN monitoring checking for subs and carriers.

Those are the circumstances that DPRK would itself de-nuclearize, and it makes a very rational sort of sense because they want to retain power and security. Their their starting point is that.

The US diplomatic response has never accepted those kind of conditions, withdrawal isn't on the table, etc, but lately the tone doesn't seem to be much more than "You should just do what we say, how dare you" which doesn't seem very productive either.
