At the moment, yes! Initially, Stripe Capital will be offered to select businesses in the US based on factors that include payment volume and history on Stripe. As we grow our program, this will expand and we hope to eventually offer capital to virtually every business on Stripe.

The security guy in me wonders how you're going to make sure that people don't sign up for Stripe Capital and then move some/most/all of their payments to a different platform, effectively stretching their repayment period out to infinity.

Maybe the answer is just that you know

Exciting. I can't default bc you've secured it through my revenue stream. What happens when my business goes belly up? How are you securing capital other than the payments platform?

As with any loan, there's some risk of repayments not happening. They can repay us directly if they aren't generating enough payment volume to repay the loan. If they shut down, the loan will be a claim on the business and repayment obligation will be dependent on the situation.
