    whenever i use a gamma distribution i end up either sampling from it or numerically integrating it for moments to make sure I understand the parameterization

    From this I learned: 1. The posterior predictive distribution of a Poisson with a Gamma prior is a negative binomial 2. PyMC3 parameterizes the Gamma two ways, neither of which is how scipy does it
