I'm going to write a bit more about the Apple/Dash thing...

The first mistake Apple made was not being transparent with a developer. This is honestly the smaller mistake, and it's repairable.
But when all of Apple's other business partners asked what happened, Apple was dishonest. They broke the trust with their other partners.

Whether you agree or disagree with Apple's removal of Dash, that is the core problem here. Apple does not respect it's business partners.

I don't think Apple sees their relationship with developers as a partnership, but most developers do, and all developers should.

The App Store isn't a charity. It's not Apple doing a public service. It's a business partnership. And Apple needs to treat it that way.

One could say Apple can treat partners however they want, but companies that are not respectful of their partners usually run into trouble.
