    It's possible I'm misremembering how bad a normal sore throat is (it's been a while), but the morning sore throat from Omicron has been a few notches more painful than any I've had before. But by afternoon, it's already super mild.

    There is a sane middle-ground here: Teach your kids about both 1776 and 1619, but do it right. Don't sugarcoat the ugly truths of slavery *and* don't invent propaganda about the colonies breaking away in order to preserve it.

    This really is what it’s about. They do not want accurate history, but to erase history. It never occurs to them that we should teach both.

    NY Dept. of Health authorizes antivirals for all people of color regardless of risk factors, but only for whites w/risk factors. The innocent idea that "racism is prejudice plus power" (so whites can't suffer racism) may not be so innocent after all.

    It's fucking racist to say that black people can't be expected to take the SAT/ACT the same way a white or Asian kid can. The tests are not "racially biased." I resent and reject this completely.
