On the one hand, people deserve to know if a dev of a game they’re considering for purchase is a massive racist and white supremacist. That’s not up for dispute whatsoever.

But, on the other hand, a widespread campaign with a goal of getting the dev pushed into obscurity never, ever works. Instead, the targets often end up becoming new heroes of the far right, and much wealthier than they were before.

So…what would work better? What’s a way to make people aware of who they’re funding with their purchases, while also not turning white supremacists into high-profile, professional victims who triple their earnings?
