wyd. Being gay or trans is something very likely developmental from an extremely early stage of development. Not muh genes. It's society that's changing so you see these people more comfortable coming out and discussing it. Abuse and depression have always existed, sadly.

But those manifest in so many different ways. I'm sorry you're going through a rough spot. But you need to also show people empathy for things that aren't hurting anyone, they can't control, and aren't aberrations.

The way it came off was very different. And understandably really hurt my friend's feelings. If he wanted to be careful or make a distinction he should've done so. He can speak for himself.

Trans and queer people already have huge swaths of society & reactionary movements telling them they're mentally ill or products of abuse. In huge majority of cases this is not why they are the way they are.
