Instead of silencing people, I guess the new tactic is to just "silo" so-called-borderline content (tobacco?) into a world where it can't spread to anyone besides fans. But they're silencing every voice, clearly !context! doesn't matter or get reviewed. I am NOT PRO TOBACCO.

Honestly the worst part is that video was going to do GREAT if it hadn't been killed by Youtube. Watch time was 8 min+ (better than avg for me), CTR was 10%+ (also high for me), but you can't overcome the BOOT of Youtube on your neck. RIP this and future content like it.pic.twitter.com/tItVCb9KL4

I guess I just wonder what this means for content like this in the future. I can't work for free, and I know other Youtubers can't either. Just makes me sad. Free expression was why this platform was so different... that's going away as Youtube becomes Disney.

Not complaining about demonetization here btw, that was a bummer, but I had a sponsor. But you can't even get sponsors if video views are gonna get chopped at the knees. Youtube is tying it's creator's hands both ways so they can't talk about important issues.

That video is excellent. It doesn’t promote any narrative or product at all; it discusses the health problems caused by smoking, and the ethical dilemmas vaping introduced. Youtube is lucky to get thoughtful content like this. It’s suitable for television, let it run ads.

Damn, that video was TV quality. At this point maybe the talented creators with serious visions should legitimately consider presenting these videos to Netflix or Amazon to see if they'll not just sponsor but promote documentary level content. Would love to see CB w/ a TV budget
