I preferred when Amazon would send order confirmation e-mails that included all the items ordered. Much better for searching later.
@mjtsai Is the omission a recent change? I'm seeing things I ordered in my emails a few weeks ago, though *also* recommendations.

@mjtsai I've gotten email receipts for theater tix that didn't mention name of show. VERY annoying when I try to find and print them later. -
@mjtsai Seems to me that violates basic business good faith. That email = receipt, and a receipt is no good unless it names what I bought. -
@mjtsai Used to use a food delivery service whose email confirmation would link to a page with my order. WTF, that is not a receipt. -
@mjtsai Counterargument might be: the email is not the receipt, the final purchase screen is, and it's up to customer to save/print that. -
@mjtsai But to me that'd be weaseling. It's hard not to think of email "confirmation" as receipt, at least to me. /end

@cocoadog I’ve been seeing this for a few months. Only actual receipt (list of items and prices) is if you go to the Web site.
