If they are willing, but currently aren't helping provide what you need, how long are you willing to wait?

i say nah, if they ain't willing it's not worth it. relationships come and go, at the end of your life it's mostly all small beans.
if they're willing, i'll wait as long as they're trying. at least that's what i say in ideal land
