  4. 2019 was record year for Morocco tourism, crossing the 12 million mark for first time, with 13 Million visitors (13% of total visits to ALL of Africa), and $8.16 Billion in revenues. Mind you, Morocco doesn’t have wildlife parks and safaris, so go figure.

  7. This Kenyan company makes fuel from human poo. For every tonne of poo charcoal its sell, it saves about 88 trees in the country. This has to be the ultimate environmental conundrum😕😕😕😕😕

  13. Malawi’s constitutional court nullified the May 21, 2019 presidential election, basically saying supposed winner President Peter Mutharika stole the victory – but foreign election observers PRAISED the vote as free and fair, bar a few mild criticisms.

  16. From the point I’m taking this photo near Djibouti port, the lights of Yemen flicker faintly in the distance just 25kms off. With its deep ports, you begin to get why this Horn of Africa nation has the most foreign military bases of any country in the world.

Here's the view from one of the few business class passengers on last night's SAA flight from London. He says Economy was virtually empty, estimates only 15 passengers. Suggests latest (taxpayer funded) bailout could be throwing good money after bad.
