It is hard for me to trust UN anymore because they pick and choose what they consider as "human rights." Thousands of people are dying in Kashmir and Yemen and not once, have I heard about a practical action from UN. Most likely, UN is dictated by a few powerful people/countries.

No practical action? Are u sure? India was made a member of Human Rights Council a few days ago, few weeks after accusing them of human rights violations in Kashmir. And france banned it in 2016-17 and HRC just saw it as a violation. My question is, why now?

Where are the human rights from the horrible massacres that are happening in Yemen and the Saudi embassies around the world. It is really ridiculous to worry about minor issues and leave the bigger ones.

This is the usual tactics of the Western cabal establishemnts - to distract attention of the public to minor issues from bigger and vital issues.

Not only France but it should be banned in any civil society. What is human right in someone masking themselves in a civil society? What are you hiding?

France should not Ban this. The World should ban it just like it bans Nazism. It is not the cultural aspects of niqab, but rather what it stands. "Suppression and intolerance"

Since when did France know anything about Human Rights. Their reign of terror spanned from Africa to Asia.

But Iran's niqab imposition does not violate human rights, the same United Nation Human Rights Council. 😁

So forcing women to put on niqab is not violating human right, requesting to put it off is. UNHRC is either making a joke or a joke itself

Imposing to wear a niqab by Muslim religious fanatics on Saudi women is a human rights violation. Outlawing religious garbs on secular people in public is the right direction.

Simple, direct, unapologetic rule for all countries: In public all faces must be unmasked, uncovered, identifiable. It's a fork in the road decision. Imagine deciding the other way. Let our imaginations run. Then understand.
