Most women don’t know that they’re pregnant that early bc periods are often irregular and/or not every woman painstakingly tracks cycles. This is terrifying.

Not to mention blatantly unconstitutional.
-
Agreed. But there may be women caught bw the implementation of the law and its being ruled unconstitutional. And scary it got this far.

Apart from all the other issues with this, a heartbeat is an entirely, mind-bogglingly nonsensical way to decide where human life begins.
-
Cardiac muscle cells will spontaneously contract in a Petri dish given the right conditions. It doesn't make them a living organism. Aside from that, saying that an embryo is any more or less 'alive' after a heartbeat is detected is completely arbitrary.

I have chills down my spine just reading this. Imagining a woman be forced to keep a pregnancy against her will is terrifying. Jesus
-
Forcing a woman to use her body for nine months in a manner in which she does not wish it to be used is slavery.
-
This won’t happen if a woman has a respect for her body that God has given her.
-
Your definition may be different from others. Stop pushing your religion on everyone else. We are not interested.
-
I am not a religious person myself. I am just living with formed conscience.
-
If you're not religious don't bring God into the conversation.
-
I just to express my support for the law. It promotes value and respect for women. There are many ways to prevent pregnancy but not ending life.

Iowa please elect a new governor, maybe a woman next time. A man should have no say in a woman’s choices.
-
Kim Reynolds is a woman
-
She’s not very bright unfortunately
-
For damn sure!

You can detect that as early as 6 weeks. Most women don’t even know they are pregnant at 6 weeks.
-
They have essentially outlawed abortions in Iowa. This will not go well.
-
They are attempting to force a Supreme Court trial that will end up overturning Roe v Wade
-
And I remember times before Roe v Wade. Sad
-
We’ve forgotten what it was like before abortions became legal.
