Bit of an undersell. Her office was involved in the creation of arbitrary targets to remove immigrants. It came to light because they were deporting British citizens. She then lied to parliament about it That's frowned upon over in the UK

Another
@theresa_may loyalist falls as the minority government flounders under the weight of numerous scandals and disastrous Brexit negotiations. If the@UKLabour wasn't so anti-semitic they'd have won the last election by 10 points.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Um...”no reason provided”??? She and
@theresa_may conspired to illegally deport thousands of black people because the Conservative government needed to win over the far-right for their own electoral success. Sound familiar to Americans? - 1 more reply

Note to picture editor: When a person resigns (in this case somewhat in disgrace) it’s unusual to use a picture of that person smiling cheerfully - goes against the grain of the headlines words.

"No reason provided"? Really? Well, I suppose one could portray that as political scapegoating as the real antagonist here is currently leading the country and hereby somewhat immune...

She was not personally responsible for the mistakes of the home office in the disgusting treatment of the people in the windrush scandal but it’s right she resigned to demonstrate the governments apology for this mess. Never again and compensate those who have suffered
-
She apologised many times, she shouldn't have been forced out of the job though. The problem is still going to be there even with someone new in place.
-
Yes , but it’s a long standing thing that high officials resign to take responsibility for these mess ups. It’s important for democratic accountability
