Nidal Malik Hasan…he killed 13 people and injured 30 at a MILITARY BASE…where there were literally dozens of well trained military personnel WITH GUNS…now you want to arm people who can barely use an overhead projector…

The base was a gun free zone. Go figure. They were not armed.

Why? Because, then you can't eliminate guns or the NRA? We should arm unemployed veterans in all our schools to protect our children
-
Unemployed veterans who may have ptsd?
-
Easy there my husband is a vet with ptsd and we have guns. However he would never go on a shooting spree..research ptsd before u tweet..
-
Sorry to hear. I think it would be a harder sell with PTSD for some to accept. Though reason dictates that negative consequences woyld be rare

No one is forced to carry, but we are forced to NOT carry. I thought we were trying to have a "right to choose"
-
When you put a fire out do you pour gas on it?
-
Actually, yes....forest fires are stopped by lighting fires.
-
In Some ways back burning works but it’s very dangerous, if the wind turns your screwed. the best way to fight forest fires is to barricade it in by using heavy equipment to push mud up making a good coupke hunder foot break to keep it from spreading.

It is a bad idea...I’m fine putting security officers in schools, but let teachers teach...don’t put added pressure on them to carry guns. They should focus on teaching, hire security officers to protect kids/teachers
-
And good on
@marcorubio for agreeing with you - teachers shouldn't have guns

My son became a HS English teacher, if he needed to be an armed guard he could have become a cop and been paid 3 x more
-
Good point. Do we want do have policemen teaching.
-
Exactly. So where would the person with the soul of an English teacher work? Put teacher through the academy and double major in criminal justice
