Before you ask people that had no parts in the scandal, you should investigate everyone. Don't punish the many for the few. Those responsible should be held accountable. How do you want to go. What happens if someone from the US Olympic committee knew something?

It's not about punishment. That's not how boards work. It's about accountability and creating an organizational infrastructure that is equipped to move the sport forward. You can't do that with the board that oversaw the mess and abuse.

Cara is correct there is no excuse for ignorance so if some didn’t know about it they weren’t doing there jobs anyway

Resign? How is it that they weren’t all reprimanded/fired amidst this entire Larry Nassar scandal anyway.

But if they we even the slightest bit aware, they need stiffer consequences than to be just unemployed.

This reads like you did nothing wrong but we are firing you all. If the government told you this would it be legal? Sounds like wrongful termination.
-
USOC stated they wanted the culture completely rebuilt.
-
So while they rebuild the athletes lose their window of competition and the training ans support they were receiving, That sound rally productive.
-
What part of "this went on FOR YEARS" are you missing
-
What part of no police reports or evidence of abuse are you missing. Each complaint wherever ends short of a gymnast producing evidence to an authority compelling action. Look at board set up and ask why have the mens directors let go for an issue in the womens committee.

They can stay and lose their licence or they can het the road. Did the kids have any choices once he was "treating" them?
-
All of this. The guy confessed! And other people in the org admitted to looking the other way. What more proof could possibly be needed? If they wanted to keep their jobs, they should have done the right thing in the first place.

Why not just make the whole country pay for ONE man's sickness and bare them completely? Innocent people should never be made to pay for something they had nothing to do with and no one else was found guilty of anything yet.
-
rachael denhollander &many other victims cited the board N their victim statements along w/numerous MSU admin.they R far from innocent. They were all complicit N the abuse of 100+ girls &should be thankful the only consequences faced are being asked to resign they deserve far more
-
Sure but this is a democracy and you are innocent till PROVEN guilty by a judge
-
They aren't being charged in a court of law they are being asked to resign for not doing their jobs that's very different
-
Yes but what if they are innocent? I'm sure some knew but everyone is entitled to fair justice or we do not live in a democracy.
-
Seriously?! They should be thrown to the wolves for helping this sick bastard! Half the board KNEW but the brand became more important than the victims and for that they should be tried!!
-
If they are guilty I agree and I am sure the Police will charge them if that is the case. In the meantime stop being judge jury and executioner because you might be wrong
-
Excuse me? I’ve heard the victims. I’ll give their testimony all the weight it deserves. When they say the board knew then I’m going to believe them and I’m free to think that. When the investigation is complete, they’ll be right next to Nassar in prison.
