Trust me, if they're admitting this now they've already done much, much more in this controversial field. Tip of the iceberg at best. Wouldn't b surprised they're already experimenting with gene splicing between species.(see Dean Koontz's Watchers)

Well let's see, I'm definitely not the recipient of a phd and I'm not going to insult your intelligence by googling and repeating a cookie cutter response. So...., I'm going to assume my post is somehow lacking and I'm going to humbly ask 4 u to enlighten me. Ok?

Gene splicing is a way that cells save energy and space by limiting the number of bases that are needed to make proteins. For example imagine you are building a chair and can only build whole chairs. If a leg breaks it would be much easier to just build a leg than a whole chair.

As such, gene splicing allows cells to hold certain parts of proteins and mix and match them to get different protein products. Gene splicing between species is unlikely due to the specific structure required for proteins to function. While inserting a splice variant of one...

Organism into another could theoretically be possible, your tweet just sounded paranoid and antiscience, as did many comments. It just seemed you had some fear of something that you didn’t even know about.

I was being facetious about the Brady thing but I firmly believe there r groups out there who r doing things with genetics that will not b made known until the public is more amenable to the ethical issues. I'm not anti-science but I do have fears as to how science is being used
