Wow! It could be a good thing for those abusing the system, but a bad thing for those who really need it...
-
If you are receiving it, it also means you are "able bodied", which means you can work. Most people using it, are abusing it. I've seen countless families here in California abusing it badly. Collecting checks and popping out babies left and right.

Bad policy. Indiana's analysis of similar efforts in its own state show that people will lose health insurance, and it will be more expensive than current system. Yet they move ahead...

This is another sad day!!

Why? Is there a problem with asking able bodied people to work while they receive benefits provided by taxpayers?

That’s great! Hopefully all the other states adopt this policy as well as making welfare recipients work as well!

There is a program called work first. Requires person to work while receiving benefits NC uses it
-
They do in KY to in some areas you have to do so many hours of community service to draw Welfare for children.
-
I wish there was a way for people to understand that sometimes help is needed. I have used the system when needed. If not my child and I would not have made it. Most people don't want to be on it-sometimes you just need a hand.

If you have to work for "welfare" then there is no such thing as welfare. Just low paying labor !!
