Illegal immigrants?

Nope legal. Protective status is given to people fleeing due to civil war, war and environmental disasters
-
Ohh, thank you! And what of those things happened in El Salvador? Do you know?
-
In 1980 the civil war took hold of El Salvador. It did not end until 1992. Families fled. Including mine. During the war a gang was created here in the US. Members have been sent back to ES. ES is under siege by the MS13 gang. People have fled again due to them.

Should be forced to leave. Have taken advantage of US generosity for way too many years.
-
200,000 individuals who paid taxes for 17 years should be forced to leave? It's not like we gave them very many options for citizenship...http://www.whitlockgray.com/2014/01/12/i-have-temporary-protected-status-tps-can-i-get-a-green-card/ …
-
Paid taxes? They also went to our schools, drive in the roads, use emergency services, etc. that’s what their taxes pay for not entitled to citizenship. Shall I define TEMPORARY for you?
-
Not entitled to citizenship, but how can we kick them out when we didn't give them much of a path to citizenship in the first place?
-
TPC is suppose to be 6 to 18 months. These people are here because of an earthquake. I don’t think they ever intended to go back. A pathway to citizenship isn’t what this program is for. It’s to provide TEMPORARY assistance during a disaster.
-
Temporary assistance turned into 17 years because our government continually renewed TPS status, and these people were supposed to keep their bags packed that whole time? How feasible is it really to just lose 200,000 people from the workforce?
-
They don’t have to keep them packed. They can unpack anytime—in their own country!
-
Then I hope you're smart enough to find the money to deport 200,000 people plus their children while making up for that loss of labor.

My parents left in 1977. Reagan gave them amnesty. Their children have become active successful members of this country. I don't see the good here. My parents are citizens now. I feel for these people. I don't grasp the reason for this either. How does this benefit Americans?
-
It doesn't benefit americans. It benefits racists who can't stand sharing space with brown people. Donald has allowed the closeted bigots to breathe a little bit instead of staying undercover where they belong.

This isn't a good idea for a variety of reasons that extend further than compassion. There are monetary reasons to allow these people to stay.

1. They came to the USA LEGALLY. 2.They've paid taxes and have lived a law abiding life. 3. They are more patriotic than Trump.
